Project Overview

The purpose of this expedition is to establish a weather station on the summit of the Logan Massif, the highest point in Canada.  This station will transmit weather data and real time images to this web site.  This station will be installed in June of 2009 by a team of experienced mountaineers.

Images from the summit of the Logan Massif are unique in that it is the highest point in Canada and gives the highest view of the country.  This station will also allow the public to get a visual image of the weather situation in the western region of Canada at high altitudes.  The weather cam will allow visual tracking of changes to the ice pack caused by global warming.  Data is useful, but the impact of images is far greater.

Supporters of this project will have their company logo displayed prominently on the border of this web site on the real time cam page and on a separate page listing our supporters.  The logo will also link to the supporting company’s web page.
